Jalen Brunson: Provides offensive spark off bench Brunson delivered 22 points (6-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 110-107 win over the Celtics.
The Scoop: After making five straight starts in late January, Brunson has played exclusively off the bench over the past 13 games. The role change hasn't hurt him too much from a production standpoint, and Brunson excelled as a secondary scorer for the second night in a row with the Mavericks once again missing Kristaps Porzingis (back). Over his last five games, Brunson is averaging 17.2 points (54.4 percent from the field), 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 three-pointers in 28.8 minutes per contest. Those numbers should put him in consideration for a pickup in 12-team leagues. Feb 24 3:50 ET |
