|Terry Rozier: Extends deal with Charlotte|
Rozier and the Hornets agreed Thursday on a four-year, $97 million max contract extension, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Scoop: During his second season with Charlotte in 2020-21, Rozier proved to be an ideal running mate alongside rookie point guard LaMelo Ball, averaging a career-high 20.4 points per game while ranking fifth in three-pointers made (222) and drilling them at a 38.9 percent clip. The extension will now keep the 27-year-old Rozier in the fold for Charlotte through the 2025-25 season, giving him and Ball ample time to grow together. Rozier was spotted with a brace on his right wrist after the Hornets were eliminated in mid-May during the NBA's postseason play-in tournament, but he's expected to be a full go for training camp.
