Justin James: Hits free agency
James was released by the Kings on Sunday, Jason Jones of The Athletic reports.
The Scoop: James' salary with the Kings was set to be guaranteed for the season unless if he got cut today. The 24-year-old has played for the Kings the last two seasons and only saw 7.6 minutes per game. In his final season with Sacramento, James averaged 3.9 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 36 appearances. The guard will look to sign with a team in need of a sharpshooting three-point specialist.
