Patrick Williams: Dealing with strained shoulder
Williams suffered a strained shoulder during Wednesday's game against Detroit, Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The Scoop: The second-year forward sustained the injury while fighting for a loose ball during Wednesday's opener, but coach Billy Donovan said Thursday he doesn't believe it's "too severe." Williams was able to go through shooting drills at Thursday's session, but he'll likely be listed as questionable for Friday's matchup against New Orleans.

Patrick Williams: Good to go Friday
Williams (ankle) will make his preseason debut during Friday's finale against the Grizzlies.
The Scoop: Williams has recovered from a left ankle sprain and will presumably start at power forward in Friday's finale. The Bulls are thin at forward, so Williams should play big minutes this season, especially since he's a strong defensive player in an offensively-tilted lineup.

Patrick Williams: On track to play Friday
Williams (ankle) is "hopeful" and "confident" that he'll play in Friday's preseason finale against the Grizzlies, Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic reports. He is officially probable.
The Scoop: Williams recently began practicing in full, and he'll likely get one chance to play in an exhibition game before the regular-season opener Wednesday against the Pistons. Williams is fully expected to start at power forward this season and should easily see 30 minutes per game given the team's lack of depth at forward.
