Williams ended with 23 points (9-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one block over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 116-100 loss to the Bucks in Game 5 of the first-round series.

The Scoop:Supplying consecutive games of 20-plus points to conclude his season, Williams was one of the few pleasant surprises in a disappointing series for the Bulls. Although Williams appeared in just 17 regular-season games due to undergoing midseason wrist surgery, the future appears bright for the 20-year-old, who should be a full-time starter for the team in 2022-23.

Patrick Williams: Puts up 20 and 10 in Game 4 loss
Williams recorded 20 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes during Sunday's 119-95 loss to Milwaukee.

The Scoop: Most of Williams' contributions typically come on the defensive end, but he stepped up as a scorer Sunday, tying his season high with three three-pointers en route to just his second 20-point effort in 22 games (regular season and playoffs). For fantasy purposes, Williams' upside has been difficult to gauge after an early season injury kept him sidelined for 65 consecutive games from Oct. 30 thorough March 18. On a roster stocked with more capable offensive options, most of Williams' upside -- at least for now -- is tethered to his defensive abilities.

Patrick Williams: Paces Bulls on scoreboard
Williams closed with 35 points (10-21 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 12-14 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block over 41 minutes during Sunday's 124-120 victory over the Timberwolves.

The Scoop: Williams saw plenty of run for Chicago in Sunday's regular-season finale since the team elected to rest several key contributors ahead of the playoffs. The 20-year-old responded by leading the Bulls with a career-high 34 points. Williams has now scored in double figures in five of his last six appearances but figures to see a decreased role if the Bulls are back at full strength for the first-round series against Milwaukee.

Patrick Williams: Posts season high offensively
Williams totaled 18 points (7-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds during Tuesday's 127-106 loss to Milwaukee.

The Scoop: Williams finished second on the squad in scoring behind DeMar DeRozan's game-high 40 points, as the forward made his first start since Oct. 28 and rewarded coach Billy Donovan with a new season best offensively. Williams has scored in double figures in each of the past three games and is averaging 11.5 points dating back to March 29.

Patrick Williams: Starting with LaVine out
Williams will start Tuesday's game against the Bucks.

The Scoop: Williams joins the starters with Zach LaVine (knee) out. It will be his first start since Oct. 28. Over his past two appearances, he's totaled 22 points, 18 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and two assists in 67 minutes.
