Game ETLatest Player News...
Brown posted zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 115-105 loss to the Suns.

The Scoop:Tuesday marked Brown's first scoring goose-egg of the season, but because of his volatile stat lines this season, it can't be called an aberration. His production has severely dropped off of late, as he's scored in single digits for five consecutive games. His secondary stats are somewhat redeeming, but Brown in the starting five may not be the solution for coach Darvin Ham. LeBron James' (adductor) return will crystallize things further after the information gathered in his absence.

Troy Brown: Plays 32 minutes in loss
Brown accumulated 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 114-101 loss to the Clippers.

The Scoop: Brown matched his season-high mark by playing 32 minutes during Wednesday's matchup, and he contributed a pair of three-pointers for the offensively challenged Lakers. The 23-year-old has started the last seven games and has averaged 11.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 27.7 minutes per game during that span.

Troy Brown: Posts double-double in start
Brown supplied 15 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 120-117 overtime win over the Pelicans.

The Scoop: Brown made his third straight start and enjoyed his best game of the campaign with season-best marks in points (15) and boards (10). He finished with his eighth career double-double in 27 minutes of action. Brown has carved out a major role in his first season in Los Angeles, as he is on pace for a career-high 27.0 minutes per contest.

Troy Brown: Starting Friday
Brown is starting Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.

The Scoop: Brown will step into a starting wing role following the news of Anthony Davis (back) sitting Friday while Russell Westbrook (hamstring) moves to the bench. Brown played 22 and 28 minutes in his only two appearances this season and is slated to see full starters' minutes given the Lakers' shallow rotation.

Troy Brown: Will make debut Sunday
Brown will make his season debut for the Lakers against the Trail Blazers on Sunday, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Scoop: After dealing with a back injury for the entirety of preseason, Brown will finally suit up, and he'll most likely come off the bench. Brown was a rotational piece for the Bulls last season, averaging 16 minutes per game over 66 matchups. Since the Lakers already have Juan Toscano-Anderson and Matt Ryan coming off the bench, expect Brown to have a limited role with Los Angeles this season.
