Lauri Markkanen: Pours in 20 points
Markkanen totaled 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 111-91 win over the Jazz.
The Scoop: Although Markkanen had a down game against the Warriors, his numbers have been great in January, with averages of 14.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Markkanen has continued to start despite competition from Kevin Love and Cedi Osman.

Lauri Markkanen: Well-rounded line in loss
Markkanen had 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 loss to the Grizzlies.
The Scoop: Markkanen was one of just a handful of Cavs players to dodge a recent COVID-19 outbreak -- he contracted the virus back in November -- but he hasn't been able to do much with the increased workload. Coming into the night, Markkanen averaged just 11.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists on 38.4 percent shooting (12.9% 3Pt) over his last seven games. While he got back on track, to some degree, Tuesday night, his downturn from beyond the arc is concerning. Over the last eight games, Markkanen is a combined 5-of-36 from deep.

Lauri Markkanen: Scores 20 against Raptors
Markkanen provided 20 points (9-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 22 minutes during Sunday's 144-99 win over the Raptors.
The Scoop: Markkanen was held to single figures in the scoring column in each of his last two appearances, but he was one of three players to score 20-plus points for the Cavaliers in Sunday's blowout win. The 24-year-old has now scored at least 10 points in seven of his 12 appearances since the start of December.

Lauri Markkanen: Sunday's game postponed
Markkanen and the Cavaliers won't play the Hawks on Sunday since the game was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Scoop: Jarrett Allen and four unnamed Cavaliers players tested positive for the virus Sunday morning, leading to the postponement. Markkanen and the rest of the Cleveland squad are scheduled to play at Boston on Wednesday, pending additional developments.
