Anderson Varejao: Plays seven minutes in debut
Varejao made his season debut for the Cavaliers in Wednesday's 141-105 loss to the Trail Blazers, posting one point (0-4 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block in seven minutes.
The Scoop: It was a whirlwind seven minutes for the veteran, who made his return to the Cavaliers after last playing in the NBA in 2016-17. A fan favorite in Cleveland, Varejao was brought in to provide some veteran leadership, but he's very unlikely to make much of an impact over the team's final six regular-season games. Varejao didn't check into Wednesday's game until late in the fourth quarter, when the Cavs were trailing by 27 points.

Anderson Varejao: Available Wednesday
Varejao is expected to make his season debut Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The Scoop: Varejao will be available to play in Wednesday's game after signing a "celebratory" 10-day contract. This will be the center's first game back in the league since the 2016-17 season, where he played for the Warriors. Expect the 38-year-old to receive limited minutes in his debut.

Anderson Varejao: Officially out Tuesday
Varejao (recently signed) is out for Tuesday's game against the Suns, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The Scoop: As expected, the veteran will not debut Tuesday, as he needs some more time to get up to speed. His next chance to play arrives Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.

Anderson Varejao: Unlikely to play Tuesday
Varejao, who officially signed a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers, is unlikely to be available for Tuesday's game against the Suns while he works his way into playing shape.
The Scoop: Considering that Varejao hasn't played in the NBA since the 2016-17 season and hasn't played anywhere professionally since 2018-19, the 38-year-old will need some time to get fully conditioned. Since Cleveland will have seven players out Tuesday due to injuries, Varejao will still be active for the contest, but he's unlikely to leave the bench outside of an emergency. Even once the Cavaliers are comfortable with his conditioning, Varejao isn't expected to be a regular part of head coach J.B. Bickerstaff's rotation.
