Lyles produced 18 points (6-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 21 minutes during Sunday's 117-111 loss to Denver.

The Scoop:Lyles was one of four Pistons players to score 18 points, continuing what has been a surprisingly productive stretch for the often overlooked veteran. With Kelly Olynyk now in the health and safety protocols, Lyles should once again find himself playing as the primary backup to Isaiah Stewart. Given Stewart's inability to produce at a consistent level, Lyles is worth a flier for at least the next week.

Trey Lyles: Solid play continues
Lyles accumulated 18 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-13 FT), six rebounds and two assists across 19 minutes during Sunday's 135-108 loss to Phoenix.

The Scoop: Lyles has put up double-digit scoring numbers in seven of eight games after his three-game absence, which is by far his best streak of production this season. Although Isaiah Stewart is firmly entrenched as the team's starting centers, Lyles has taken advantage of recent subpar performances from the Washington product.

Trey Lyles: All-around performance off bench
Lyles registered 21 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals in 33 minutes during Friday's 103-87 victory over Toronto.

The Scoop: Lyles bounced back from a six-point performance during Tuesday's blowout loss to the Bulls with his second 20-plus point outing of the season. He also tied Cade Cunningham with a team-high seven boards. Starting center Isaiah Stewart played just 15 minutes and struggled offensively, which resulted in Lyles playing at least 30 minutes for just the third time this season. The 26-year-old has averaged 15.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists across his last nine appearances and will look to continue his strong play against the Suns on Sunday.

Trey Lyles: Double-doubles off bench
Lyles finished Saturday's 97-92 win over the Magic with 16 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 28 minutes.

The Scoop: With Isaiah Stewart back from COVID-19 protocols, Lyles has moved to the bench for the Pistons' last two contests. However, his production hasn't regressed, as he's notched back-to-back double-digit scoring outings from his usual reserve role. He also grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds during Saturday's win, registering his first double-double of the 2021-22 campaign. Over his last six appearances (three starts), Lyles is averaging 15.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 blocks in 27.7 minutes per game. He will look to continue his strong play off the bench against the Jazz on Monday.

Trey Lyles: Scores team-high 17 points
Lyles registered 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Wednesday's 140-111 loss to the Hornets.

The Scoop: Lyles has scored in double figures in back-to-back games after returning from a three-game absence due to COVID-19 protocols. The 6-foot-9 forward has now drawn three consecutive starts, which has translated into his most consistent production of the season. However, Isaiah Stewart is expected to return to action soon after clearing protocols Tuesday, so Lyles' time in the starting lineup is likely limited.
