Joel Embiid: Affected by knee during loss
Embiid recorded 19 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals across 30 minutes during a 114-109 loss Friday versus Brooklyn.
The Scoop: Despite playing well, Embiid is still suffering from his injury-prone right knee. He was given a protective wrap at one point and limped during the game's final seconds. His fantasy managers should remain wary of that knee injury. But if the discomfort heals enough as it did before Friday, they should continue to benefit from Embiid's unparalleled talent.

Joel Embiid: Good to go
Embiid (knee) will be in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup with the Nets, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Scoop: Embiid landed on the injury report prior to the game due to knee soreness. It is a little concerning that the issue popped up already prior to the second game of the season, but it looks like the team may have just been erring on the side of caution with that designation. Andre Drummond would be in line for a big role increase should Embiid end up suffering any type of setback.

Joel Embiid: Questionable with knee soreness
Embiid is questionable for Friday's game against the Nets due to right knee soreness.
The Scoop: It didn't take long for the injury-prone center to land on the injury report, as he's dealing with knee soreness after the first game of the season. During the opener, he posted 22 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 26 minutes. If Embiid sits out Friday, Andre Drummond would be in line for a massive role increase, and Tobias Harris would presumably become the No. 1 scoring option.

Joel Embiid: Scores 22 in season opener
Embiid notched 22 points (8-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block across 26 minutes in Wednesday's win over New Orleans.
The Scoop: Embiid wasn't at his best from an efficiency perspective, but he managed to carry the Sixers offensively and scored a team-high 22 points -- alongside Furkan Korkmaz -- to lift Philadelphia to a win in the season opener. The star big man might sacrifice a few touches on offense once Ben Simmons (suspension) returns to the hardwood, but there's no question he should be one of Philadelphia's go-to players on a nightly basis.
