Temple is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Minnesota.

The Scoop:Temple will get the starting nod in this one alongside Devonte' Graham in the backcourt. After being dealt to the Pelicans during the offseason, his team is likely eager to see what he can do. Temple's play during these exhibition contests will likely determine his workload off the bench during the regular season.

Garrett Temple: Headed to New Orleans
Temple will be traded, along with Tomas Satoransky and a second-round pick, to the Pelicans in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Temple subsequently signed a deal with the Pelicans.

The Scoop: In his only season with the Bulls, Temple averaged 7.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27.3 minutes per game. If he sticks with the Pelicans, the 35-year-old will likely play a veteran bench role as Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson dominate the majority of minutes.

Garrett Temple: Scores 13 with three triples
Temple accumulated 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 31 minutes during Monday's win over the Celtics.

The Scoop: The 34-year-old's 31 minutes were the most he's seen since March 3. Temple has now started the past three games for the Bulls, averaging 8.7 points, 3.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers in that span. The 11-year veteran should continue to hover around 25-to-30 minutes per game for at least the next week with Zach LaVine (COVID-19) out of the lineup.
