Mamadi Diakite: Out Wednesday
Diakite (hip) is out for Wednesday's preseason tilt against the Nuggets.
The Scoop: Diakite will have just one more chance to play in the preseason before the regular-season opener. The injury may impact his chances to make the Thunder's final roster.

Mamadi Diakite: Picks up hip injury
Coach Mark Daigneault said Tuesday that Diakite is dealing with a hip injury, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
The Scoop: The severity of the injury is unknown, but it's expected to be more serious than initially anticipated. Diakite's status for Wednesday and Thursday's preseason contests against the Nuggets are in jeopardy, and if he is unable to suit up, he may lose out on a roster spot.

Mamadi Diakite: Finds work with OKC
The Thunder claimed Diakite off waivers from the Bucks on Sunday, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
The Scoop: Diakite spend most of the 2020-21 season playing on a two-way deal for Milwaukee before the Bucks upgraded him to a three-year, standard NBA contract in April. Heading into training camp, the Bucks apparently didn't deem the 24-year-old power forward worthy of a spot on the 15-man roster, but Diakite will get the opportunity to compete for minutes in the frontcourt with a rebuilding Thunder squad. Diakite averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game over his 14 appearances with the Bucks last season, but he shot only 40 percent from the field.

Mamadi Diakite: Puts up 13 points Sunday
Diakite registered 13 points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, three steals, an assist and a block across 38 minutes in Sunday's loss against the Bulls.
The Scoop: Diakite logged a team-high 38 minutes and while he failed to shoot the ball efficiently, he ended just three rebounds away from a double-double while making an impact on the defensive court as well. That said, Diakite is not expected to see a lot of playing time during the postseason and should be a fantasy non-factor moving forward.
