Tremont Waters: Joins Wizards on hardship
Waters and the Wizards agreed to a 10-day hardship contract Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Scoop: Waters is coming off a 10-day hardship deal with the Raptors, where he played 42 minutes and posted eight points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals. He could be in the rotation for as long as the Wizards are shorthanded in the backcourt.

Tremont Waters: Joining Milwaukee for camp
Waters agreed Tuesday to a training camp contract with the Bucks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Scoop: The Bucks have both a guaranteed roster spot and a two-way spot open, so Waters has a decent shot at making the team. He's appeared in 37 NBA games (four starts) since being drafted by the Celtics 51st overall in 2019, and he has career averages of 3.8 points and 2.1 assists in 9.6 minutes per game. The 5-foot-10 point guard has upside as a passer and defender, as he's averaged 7.9 assists and 2.5 steals per 36 minutes.

Tremont Waters: Pours in career-high 17 points
Waters totaled 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Sunday's 96-92 loss to the Knicks.
The Scoop: With the Celtics resting the majority of their primary roster, Waters came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points. That makes back-to-back games with double-digit points, something he has been unable to do throughout the course of his two seasons in the NBA. As with many of the players that saw action Sunday, Waters will shift back to his usual role Tuesday when the Celtics face the Wizards in the first round of the play-in tournament.

Tremont Waters: Scores season-high 14 points
Waters recorded 14 points (4-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and seven assists across 22 minutes off the bench in Saturday's win over the Timberwolves.
The Scoop: Waters saw an uptick in his minutes once again with Kemba Walker (neck) and Marcus Smart (calf) done for the regular season, and the former LSU standout took advantage of his chance to deliver season-high marks in both points and assists. Waters could see hefty minutes in the regular-season finale Sunday against the Knicks, but he shouldn't be a factor come playoff time, especially if Walker and Smart return to the court soon.
