Done for night with ankle sprain Whitmore won't return to Friday's game against Toronto due to a right ankle sprain, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports. He finished with 17 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes. The Scoop: Despite coming off the bench Friday, Whitmore was leading the Rockets in scoring on the night before the ankle sprain ended his game early. Houston will finish up its back-to-back set Saturday with a matchup against the Hawks, and Whitmore's injury makes it unlikely he'll be available for that contest. Whitmore's potential absence Saturday could open up a spot in the rotation for Reggie Bullock, or perhaps result in players such as Aaron Holiday, Jeff Green and Jae'Sean Tate having higher minutes ceilings off the bench.
