| Team option picked up The Pelicans announced Friday that they exercised the third-year option for 2025-26 on Hawkins' contract, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. The Scoop: Hawkins slowed down toward the end of his rookie year but still averaged 7.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.3 minutes across 67 regular-season appearances, including 10 starts, in 2023-24.
