| CJ Elleby: Offers defensive numbers in loss Elleby managed eight points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, three steals and two blocks across 26 minutes Sunday in the Trail Blazers' 124-92 loss to the Nuggets. The Scoop: Elleby's production in the defensive categories was noteworthy, but with averages of 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks since he joined Portland's starting five Feb. 4, he's more of a serviceable contributor in those areas rather than a true standout. His numbers in other categories have been more lacking -- he hasn't topped 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists or one three-pointer in any of his nine starts. Elleby has also fallen below 30 minutes in the past two contests, and his playing-time outlook isn't likely to improve if the Achilles injury that sidelined Justise Winslow on Sunday doesn't prove to be a long-term concern.
