|Trae Young: Agrees to extension|
Young agreed to terms on a five-year, $207 million maximum extension with the Hawks on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Scoop: Young and the Hawks wasted little time in agreeing to terms on a designated rookie maximum extension. The star point guard would make $207 million if he makes the All-NBA team next season, but that number would fall to $173 million should he fail to do so, per Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com. Young averaged 25.3 points, 9.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 63 games a season ago and led Atlanta to the Eastern Conference Finals.
