|OG Anunoby: Hits plateau in recovery|
Anunoby didn't take part in practice Monday, with head coach Nick Nurse saying afterward that the forward has "hit a wall" in his recovery from a left hip pointer, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
The Scoop: Nurse added that Anunoby is without a timeline for a return, making it safe to rule the 24-year-old out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies -- and probably the Raptors' other two games this week. In more fortunate news, Anunoby recently underwent an MRI that didn't reveal any structural damage, so he'll just need some of the lingering soreness and pain in his hip to subside before he gears up for a return to game action. The absence of Anunoby -- who has already missed six straight games -- as well as the uncertain statuses of Gary Trent (calf) and Khem Birch (knee) could continue to translate for elevated minutes for Svi Mykhailiuk and Precious Achiuwa, and to a lesser extent, Malachi Flynn, Yuta Watanabe and Isaac Bonga.
