|Lonzo Ball: Could be done for season|
Ball recently experienced renewed discomfort in his left knee after a second ramp-up period, Jamal Collier of ESPN.com reports. The Bulls have "less and less optimism that Ball will return this season," regardless of how far the team advances in the postseason, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Scoop: Ball went through a similar issue a few weeks ago and was subsequently shut down for a period of time before the Bulls' training staff attempted to ramp up his activity for the second time. The fact that he appears to have hit the same roadblock in his recovery twice is obviously a major concern for Chicago with the regular season coming to an end this weekend. Head coach Billy Donovan said the team will meet in the coming days to discuss the next course of action for the point guard, who hasn't played since Jan. 14. If he's unable to make any tangible progress in the next week or so, there's a good chance Ball could miss the entirety of Chicago's playoff run.
