|Lonzo Ball: Yet to start on-court work|
Ball (knee) has not yet returned to lateral running or cutting, and coach Billy Donovan implied that his recovery timeline is behind that of teammates Alex Caruso (wrist) and Patrick Williams (wrist), KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The Scoop: Unlike Caruso and Williams, Ball is dealing a lower-body injury, so the fact that he's not as far along as that pair shouldn't come as a major surprise. All three players returned to Chicago this week to undergo further evaluation, so the hope is that we'll get a clearer timetable within the next few days. Ball is in the midst of easily the best fantasy season of his career, but with the conclusion of the regular season just a month away, managers may need to consider dropping Ball in order to add a healthier option for the stretch run or fantasy playoffs.
