Lonzo Ball: Dealing with meniscus damage Ball was diagnosed Thursday with a small meniscus tear in his left knee and is evaluating treatment options, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The Scoop: The Bulls had previously characterized Ball's injury as a bone bruise and ruled him out for their entire three-game road trip, but follow-up tests revealed that he's dealing with a more significant injury in the same knee. Fantasy managers should have a better sense of how long Ball will be out before the weekend; Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that a decision on whether Ball will need another arthroscopic procedure for the knee -- he previously had on the same knee in July 2018 -- will be made in the next 24-to-48 hours. In the event he does require a scope, Ball would likely face a recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks. In the meantime, Coby White should continue serving as the Bulls' starting point guard, while rookie Ayo Dosunmu should benefit from added minutes while both Ball and Zach LaVine (knee) are sidelined.
