Mason Plumlee: Traded to Charlotte
Plumlee and the No. 37 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft have been traded from the Pistons to the Hornets in exchange for the No. 57 pick in the draft, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Scoop: This appears to be somewhat of a salary dump from the Pistons to the Hornets, as Detroit moved down in the draft with the move. Plumlee could end up being the Hornets' starting center for the upcoming season. He's coming off the most productive season of his career, as he averaged 10.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 26.8 minutes. The move also opens up the starting center spot in Detroit for Isaiah Stewart.
