|Brook Lopez: Undergoes surgery|
Lopez underwent back surgery Thursday and is out indefinitely, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Scoop: Sidelined since played 28 minutes in the Bucks' season-opening win over the Nets on Oct. 19, Lopez has been slow to progress from a back injury, with the Bucks providing scarce updates along the way. The team's recent signing of DeMarcus Cousins that Lopez wasn't due back anytime soon, and the veteran center's decision to address the back injury through surgery confirms as much. The Bucks likely won't have an update on when Lopez might play again until he's cleared to resume practicing, and there's a real possibility his 2021-22 campaign is over. With Lopez out of the picture for the foreseeable future, Bobby Portis is locked in as the Bucks' top center and remains a must-roster option in just about every format.
