|Kyrie Irving: Will be ready for camp|
Nets GM Sean Marks said Wednesday that Irving (ankle) is progressing well in his recovery and is expected to be back at full strength for the start of training camp, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
The Scoop: Speaking to reporters for the first time since the end of the season, Marks noted that both Irving and James Harden (hamstring) are making strong progress as they rehab injuries that plagued them during the postseason. Marks referred to Irving's sprained right ankle as "a bad one," but he noted that Irving is "back in the gym" doing on-court work. The Nets remain confident that they'll be able to sign Irving and Harden to long-term extensions before the start of the 2021-22 season. "I feel very confident by training camp, we'll be looking at [Irving, Harden and Kevin Durant] signed, sealed and delivered," Marks said.
