Game ETLatest Player News...
Hardaway posted 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 19 minutes during Thursday's 119-110 win over Oklahoma City in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Scoop:Hardaway stepped his game up off the bench and provided a scoring boost to the second unit, and his contributions proved to be much-needed as the Mavericks evened the series with a huge road win. Hardaway can go hot or cold in any given game, but he should remain an important cog of the Mavericks' rotation during this playoff run.

Struggles in return
Hardaway (ankle) posted two points (1-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and two rebounds over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 117-95 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Scoop: Hardaway returned to action following a four-game absence due to an ankle injury. While he provides Dallas with another scoring option off the bench, Hardaway struggled to get going Tuesday and was deprioritized.

Available for Game 1
Hardaway (ankle) will be available for Game 1 against the Thunder on Monday, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.

The Scoop: This was the expectation when Hardaway made it through practices on Sunday and Monday. While this is great news for Dallas, it will be interesting to see how many minutes he's allotted because he's been struggling mightily with his shot.

Goes through practice
Hardaway (ankle) was spotted going through another practice Monday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.

The Scoop: Hardaway also practiced on Sunday and continues to trend in the right direction. There should be additional clarity on his status for Game 1 against the Thunder on Tuesday when the Mavericks release their official injury report Monday evening.

Practices Sunday
Coach Jason Kidd said Hardaway (ankle) returned to practice Sunday, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.

The Scoop: Hardaway sprained his right ankle during Game 2 of the opening-round series against the Clippers and missed the final four contests. His return to practice is an encouraging sign, but Hardaway's official status for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Thunder likely won't be known until Monday afternoon. Hardaway was one of the best sixth men in the NBA for much of the regular season, but his production tailed off later in the year, so it's difficult to assess exactly what his night-to-night role will be once he's cleared to return. Over his last 20 games, Hardaway averaged just 8.7 points on 37.8 percent shooting (33.0% 3Pt).
