Brad Wanamaker: Starting in Wizards debut
Wanamaker will start Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

The Scoop: The same day he signed his contract, Wanamaker will start with his new team. Earlier this year, he started one game with the Pacers and provided six points, three assists, two steals and one rebound in 25 minutes.

Brad Wanamaker: Waived by Pacers
Wanamaker was waived by the Pacers on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Scoop: Indiana brought Wanamaker in on a one-year deal last offseason, but the veteran guard hasn't impressed though 22 appearances, averaging a meager 3.5 points on 36.1 percent shooting. Once the transaction becomes official, the team will sign former UWGB standout Keifer Sykes, who spent the preseason with Indiana following a strong showing in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Brad Wanamaker: Non-existent in start
Wanamaker produced six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and two steals over 25 minutes during Thursday's 122-113 victory over the Pistons.

The Scoop: Wanamaker is the most traditional point guard on Indiana's roster, but the third-string man's jump to the starting lineup underwhelmed and did little to catalyze the offense. Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) is likely to return by the Pacers' next game Tuesday in Miami
Dec 17 1:48 ET
Brad Wanamaker: Starting for injured Brogdon
Wanamaker will start Thursday's tilt against the Pistons, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

The Scoop: With Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) a late scratch, coach Rick Carlisle will give Wanamaker the nod for his first start of the year. In three games where he's seen at least 20 minutes, Wanamaker has averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
