Won't return this season The Pistons announced Friday that Umude will miss the remainder of the season due to a hairline fracture in his right ankle, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
The Scoop: Umude sustained the injury in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers and had already been ruled out for Friday's game against Boston. Now that he's been officially diagnosed with a fractured ankle, Umude will end up missing the final few weeks of the regular season, but he won't require surgery and is expected to make a full recovery ahead of training camp in 2024-25. Over 24 appearances with the Pistons this season, the 24-year-old wing averaged 5.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. Mar 22 6:06 ET |
