Officially out Sunday
Gillespie (knee) is out for Sunday's game versus Memphis.
The Scoop: Gillespie hasn't appeared in a game since March 31, but he hadn't appeared on the injury report in any of Denver's last six games before he popped up on the report ahead of Sunday's contest with a left knee sprain. The point guard might have sustained the injury in a recent practice, and his absence Sunday means that his season is over; as a two-way player, he's ineligible to compete during the Nuggets' playoff run. Gillespie finished his rookie season with averages of 3.6 points, 1.1 assists and 0.9 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game over 24 appearances.
