Inks two-year extension

Mon, Feb 19 2024 6:14 PST

The News
Conley and the Timberwolves agreed to a two-year, $21 million contract extension Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Our View
Conley has looked sharp for Minnesota in his age-36 season, and the Timberwolves have solidified themselves as contenders in no small part due to his steady hand as the team's starting point guard. Through 50 games, he's averaged 10.6 points, 6.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 28.9 minutes per contest. Conley had been ticketed for free agency this summer, but after agreeing to an extension, he'll now be locked in with Minnesota through the 2025-26 season.
