For the first time since Dec. 6, the Cavaliers had their ideal starting five available with Darius Garland (jaw) back from a 19-game absence and with Evan Mobley making his second straight appearance following a 22-game absence. Both Garland and Mobley played under 25 minutes in the win, enabling Mitchell to continue filling an outsized role on offense en route to another sterling stat line. Garland and Mobley are likely to face restrictions once again Thursday against the Grizzlies in the second leg of the back-to-back set, but even once both are back to handling their usual 30-plus-minute roles, Mitchell may not see too much of a downturn in his overall production, at least as a scorer. Mitchell closed January with averages of 28.6 points, 7.6 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 three-pointers and 2.1 steals in 34.2 minutes per game over 13 appearances.
