Mitchell was sidelined for Sunday's 120-101 loss to the Nets, marking his sixth straight absence on account of a left knee bone bruise. Though Mitchell has returned to on-court work since receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection for his knee, his streak of absences will likely reach seven Monday. The Cavaliers are hopeful that the star guard will be able to return at some point during their upcoming three-game road swing which begins Wednesday in New Orleans and includes stops in Houston (Friday) and Indiana (next Monday). For now, consider Mitchell doubtful for Monday's contest as he sets his sights on a potential return against the Pelicans or Rockets later in the week.
