Fontecchio won't play Wednesday against Sacramento since his trade to the Pistons won't become official until Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Kevin Knox has a trade restriction until Thursday since he didn't sign with the Pistons until Nov. 8, so Fontecchio will have to wait at least a day before making his Pistons debut. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available Thursday against the Trail Blazers.
