 Mock GM® Dynasty League Feature by Ngozika Nwaneri Mock GM® dynasty leagues are the most unique experience in fantasy basketball today. Why? Because they represent history, longevity and for many members, a chance to continue where they left off the previous season. Members of Mock GM® dynasty leagues have advantages that cannot be found elsewhere in Fantasy Basketball: 1. Familiarity of league members - Dynasty members become familiar with one another over the years with all the wheeling and dealing that comes with Mock GM®, and as a result, create life-like alliances/rivals similar to those found amongst real NBA GMs. 2. A chance to truly make your mark on an organization - In Fantasy Basketball, there is only one true winner at the end of the year. The next season, leagues re-draft and start with new rosters and the same objective -- to win it all. However in Mock GM®, there is always the hope for next season as the landscape of a league is always guaranteed to change due many factors including player contracts expiring (FAs), early termination options (ETOs) such as Team Options (TOs), Player Options (POs) and Qualifying Offers (QOs), and organizations getting new head figures. Members who master their leagues' landscape can plan for future years and build championship organizations over time. 3. Picking up where former GMs left off - Like in the NBA, GMs get hired and fired. In Mock GM, users can take over an organization and set new objectives to build a contender given the landscape of the dynasty league(s) they join. 4. Losers are winners as well - Organizations who do not qualify for the playoffs in Mock GM® dynasty leagues receive the top picks in the College Draft the following year via the College Draft Lottery which is conducted before a league is reactivated. 5. Free Agency pool bigger, more unique - Because there are no contract extensions in Mock GM®, rookie contracts typically playout to their final years creating a larger free agency pool during the free agency period. In addition, previously negotiated contracts vary in dynasty leagues making each league unique since there are more Team Options (TOs) and Player Options (POs) to determine. 6. Planning for years out - Smart NBA GMs make future plans, manage the cap, and make moves for when they feel they have a chance to get star players. Mock GM® dynasty leagues allow for the same type of planning. For instance, big-name free agents may not be available in the current free agency pool-- They may very well be available the following year. GMs in dynasty years have the ability make these assessments and plan their rosters moves based on future projections of player contracts.
