| Detroit president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon said Monday that Thompson (illness) will be limited to open training camp, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. The Scoop:Langdon said Thompson has been cleared for conditioning, strength training and non-contact drills, but the forward is still going through a medical process with the NBA's Players Association. | Ruled out for season The Pistons announced Wednesday that Thompson will miss the remainder of the season while being treated for a blood clot, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The Scoop: Thompson had missed the last six games due to an undisclosed illness, but Charania's report provides some added clarity on the matter. Though Thompson's first NBA season will come to a close, he's been cleared to resume conditioning and will resume non-contact basketball activities around the end of the regular season.
