Game ETLatest Player News...
Anderson totaled one point (0-9 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and five steals across 20 minutes during Tuesday's 124-106 win over New Orleans.

The Scoop:Considering how many key players were missing for Golden State, this was a brutal dud for Anderson. He's off to an eerily quiet start with his new team, averaging 2.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while hitting 22.2 percent from the field through four games.

Moves to first unit
Anderson is in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against the Kings, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

The Scoop: Head coach Steve Kerr is shifting things around for the third game in a row, and Anderson will start in the frontcourt alongside Draymond Green in a small-ball lineup. Moses Moody, Gary Payton and Stephen Curry round out the rest of the first unit.

Heading to Golden State
The Warriors are planning to sign Anderson to a three-year, $27 million contract in exchange for a second-round pick swap and cash considerations as a sign-and-trade with the Timberwolves on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Scoop: Anderson will head to Golden State after spending the previous two seasons in Minnesota. In 2023-24, the 30-year-old forward averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 22.6 minutes across 79 regular-season appearances, including 10 starts. After the departure of Klay Thompson, Anderson will likely compete for minutes in the Warriors' forward rotation with Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

Playoff woes amid uncertainty
Anderson averaged 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks across 15.3 minutes in 15 playoff appearances.

The Scoop: Anderson will be an unrestricted free agent this season, and his future in Minnesota is currently unclear. The 30-year-old averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks across 79 regular-season games, a slight decline from just a year before. However, the veteran wing could be useful for many contending teams and is bound to have several suitors this offseason.

Struggles with efficiency
Anderson provided seven points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Scoop: Anderson's 33 minutes played in Game 5 were his highest of the series, largely due to his role in guarding Luka Doncic. Anderson will end the Western Conference Finals averaging 7.4 points, 3.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 22.4 minutes across the five contests. The 30-year-old forward will head into the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. Anderson's future in Minnesota is uncertain as he went from averaging 28.4 minutes across 69 appearances, including 46 starts in 2022-23, to 22.6 minutes across 79 appearances, just 10 of which were starts, in 2023-24.
