The Wizards opted not to re-sign Diallo after his 10-day contract expired Friday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. The Scoop:Rather than bringing Diallo back on another 10-day pact, the Wizards instead decided to add center Trey Jemison on a 10-day deal to fill the 15th and final spot on the roster. During his week-and-a-half-long stay with Washington, Diallo appeared in two games and averaged just 2.5 minutes. He'll most likely stick around in the organization and rejoin the G League's Capital City Go-Go, with whom he had been playing prior to signing with the NBA club. Jan 20 3:51 ET - | ||||||||

Returns to NBA The Wizards recalled Diallo from the Capital City Go-Go of the G League on Thursday. The Scoop: Diallo is nearing the end of his 10-day contract with Washington and will end it with the NBA club. Diallo is averaging 1.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 2.5 minutes across his two appearances for the Wizards. Jan 19 5:00 ET |
Assigned to G League Washington assigned Diallo to the G League's Capital City Go-Go on Tuesday. The Scoop: Diallo is seven days into a 10-day contract with the Wizards, but he will be relegated to Capital City nonetheless. The Go-Go play Wednesday against Raptors 905, although it's unclear if Diallo will suit up for the contest. Jan 16 8:26 ET |
Handed walking papers Diallo was waived by the Wizards on Saturday. The Scoop: Diallo's time in Washington didn't last long, as he was signed to an Exhibit 10 deal earlier in the day. He'll either land with the Wizards' G League squad or look for work elsewhere with the 2023-24 season on the horizon. Oct 21 7:14 ET |
Hamidou Diallo: Most likely done for season Pistons head coach Dwane Casey acknowledged Tuesday that Diallo (ankle) likely won't be available to play again this season by the time he's re-evaluated in 3-to-4 weeks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. The Scoop: Even if Diallo's Grade 2 right ankle sprain checks out better than expected when he gets re-examined in early April, the 15-51 Pistons don't have any incentive to rush him back on the court before their season comes to an end April 9. The 24-year-old Diallo will finish his fifth NBA season with averages of 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 17.8 minutes per game while shooting a career-high 57.3 percent from the field and a career-worst 58.8 percent from the free-throw line across 56 appearances. Diallo is scheduled to become a free agent this summer. Mar 8 3:31 ET |
