Game ETLatest Player News...
Duren (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Antonio.

The Scoop:Duren will be sidelined for a second consecutive contest due to back spasms, marking the end of his 2023-24 campaign. The second-year center flashed talent when available with averages of 13.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.8 blocks in 29.1 minutes per game, but his rhythm was disrupted by a series of ankle and back injuries that limited him to 61 appearances. James Wiseman will likely pick up a start at center in Sunday's finale.

Questionable against San Antonio
Duren (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Spurs.

The Scoop: Duren was held out against Dallas on Friday, but the big man remains day-to-day. If the Pistons decide to keep him on the shelf for Sunday, James Wiseman would likely get another opportunity in the starting lineup.

Out against Dallas
Duren (back) won't play against Dallas on Friday.

The Scoop: Listed as questionable heading into Friday with low back spasms, Duren ultimately wasn't able to gain clearance for the penultimate game of the regular season. With Duren sidelined Friday, James Wiseman will likely step in as the Pistons' starting center and could be in store for a 30-plus-minute role if he steers clear of foul trouble.

Dealing with back spasms
Duren is questionable for Friday's game against the Mavericks due to low back spasms.

The Scoop: Duren has been plagued by back spasms throughout the campaign, most recently missing three straight games at the end of March due to the issue. If Duren is downgraded to out, James Wiseman would likely start at center.

Double-double vs. Chicago
Duren had 20 points (7-9 FG, 6-7 FT), 11 rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 127-105 loss to the Bulls.

The Scoop: Duren registered his 44th double-double of the season Thursday, which ties him with Nikola Vucevic for seventh most in the NBA. In what has been a lost season for the Pistons, Duren has proved to be a silver lining for the team and has emerged as a solid big man next to young guards Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey. Since March 1, Duren is averaging 13.3 points on 59.7 percent shooting, 10.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 26.7 minutes per game.
