Let go by Portland
The Trail Blazers waived Mays on Saturday.

The Scoop: Mays averaged 6.3 points, 3.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 17.0 minutes across 21 appearances with Portland in 2023-24. Most of Mays' playing time came earlier in the season while Portland was shorthanded in the backcourt, but his opportunities have become more scarce of late while all of Anfernee Simons, Malcolm Brogdon, Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe have been healthy. The Trail Blazers evidently decided that his roster spot could better be utilized on another player.
