Trans. Apr 11 11:22 ET (Apr 11 11:22 ET ) After signing Ronnie Brewer earlier in the week, the Bulls added two more veterans who have previously been on their roster, point guard Mike James and power forward Lou Amundson. James, who was with the team on a series of 10-day contracts this season, as well as having played for the Bulls at the end of the 2011-12 campaignnot to mention crossing paths with Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau earlier in his well-traveled NBA careerwas in Houston, working out with ex-NBA player and coach John Lucas (father of former Bulls backup point guard John Lucas III and Thibodeaus former boss) when he got a call from Chicago.
The Rockets faced very little resistance in their 124-86 blowout victory over the Jazz. About the only fight they got from the Jazz came as the clock was expiring in the game. With the shot clock already off as the game was winding down and Rockets rookie guard Isaiah Canaan dribbling the clock out, veteran Jazz reserve John Lucas III circled behind Canaan and stole the ball from him and began heading towards the Jazz goal. He circled back and fired a pass to one of his teammates streaking to the basket and that's when Rockets nine-year veteran Francisco Garcia met Lucas.
The Scoop:He is out of his walking boot and should make it back in the near future. Still, Lucas has no fantasy value with Trey Burke healthy, Diante Garrett playing well and Alec Burks also handling the ball more.
