It's now mid-January, which means we're only a month away from All-Star Saturday and the NBA's annual dunk contest. While the event has diminished in excitement and interest over the past few years and hasn't produced many memorable moments, it's still one of the marquee attractions of All-Star Weekend. So, as we get closer, it's time we start figuring out which players will show off their best dunks to win our attention and adoration.
Toronto Raptors' rookie guard Terrence Ross should probably be one of those participants. In a few short months, Ross has already established himself as one of the league's most frequent highlight-reel dunkers. On Tuesday night, he made one of his best yet. Late in the fourth quarter of Toronto's 113-106 loss to the Brooklyn Nets , Ross followed up a missed jumper from teammate John Lucas III with an eminently athletic and graceful tip dunk in which he glided from the right to left side of the hoop to gather the rebound and finish with one hand.
