Thomas produced 15 points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-13 FT), two assists, one rebound, one block and two turnovers in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 136-117 loss to the Hornets.
The Scoop: Thomas is essentially the only guy on this Brooklyn team who can create his own shot, so he's going to get all the shots he can handle this season. He'll be scoring in bunches with regularity, but his value will be limited, as he rarely brings peripheral stats to the box score. He is who he is.

Porter was held to 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and five assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 136-117 season-opening loss to the Hornets.
The Scoop: Porter is one of the best catch-and-shoot players on this Nets team by a wide margin, although with Brooklyn lacking a true playmaker, it could be tough for him to truly utilize his shot-making abilities. He'll get plenty of opportunities as one of the better offensive players on this team, but since opposing teams will be able to zero in on him, he'll likely struggle from an efficiency standpoint.

Adebayo totaled 15 points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 loss to the Magic.
The Scoop: Adebayo had a night to forget offensively but still managed to grind his way to double digits given his shot volume and a decent effort from the free-throw line. It was a much different story for the big man on the glass, where he secured a game-high 12 boards for his first double-double of the 2025-26 campaign. Norman Powell stepped up for 28 points in Wednesday's season opener, but the Heat will need more out of Adebayo moving forward, especially while Tyler Herro (ankle) is sidelined.

Ball recorded 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-5 FT), eight assists, two rebounds, one steal and three turnovers in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 136-117 win over Brooklyn.
The Scoop: While Ball wasn't great at the charity stripe, he did do an excellent job of distributing the rock, as he didn't commit his first turnover until late into the fourth quarter. He'll be a reliable source of points, triples and dimes this season, so if he can just manage to stay healthy, he could be in for a career year.

Wiggins produced 18 points (6-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 loss to the Magic.
The Scoop: Wiggins turned in a solid showing from the field but was unable to find his shooting touch from downtown. Opportunities were spread somewhat evenly amongst the starting five, as he was one of four starters to reach double-digit field-goal attempts. Wiggins should continue to see his fair share of chances on the offensive end with Tyler Herro (ankle) expected to remain sidelined until mid-November.

Mitchell notched 16 points (7-15 FG), 12 assists, six rebounds, two triples, two steals, one block and just one turnover in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 loss to the Magic.
The Scoop: Mitchell picked up right where he left off last season as Miami's starting point guard, and he did not disappoint, racking up the dimes and defensive stats. While his playmaking will likely dip a bit once Tyler Herro (ankle) gets back in the mix, he should still be a major factor in Miami's rotation, so he's set up for a big year as he enters his age-27 season. He's currently rostered in just 21 percent of Yahoo! Leagues, so make sure he's not sitting on your waiver wire.

Powell scored a game-high 28 points (9-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 6-7 FT) Wednesday, to go with nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three turnovers across 36 minutes in a 125-121 loss to the Magic.
The Scoop: Powell was Miami's primary option on offense, and that should remain the case until Tyler Herro (ankle) returns. He's locked into big minutes and a heavy usage in Miami, so he should be able to flirt with top-50 value while Herro is sidelined.

Da Silva registered 16 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and one rebound in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 win over the Heat.
The Scoop: Da Silva looked strong on the offensive end and was the only Magic bench player to reach double figures. He appeared confident from beyond the arc, where he converted at a clip of 33.5 percent over 74 regular-season games a season ago. However, da Silva's production elsewhere wasn't nearly as impressive, tallying only one rebound outside of the scoring column.

Wagner totaled 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 victory over Miami.
The Scoop: Wagner played a key role in Orlando's offensive attack during the season opener, tying for a team-high 24 points with Paolo Banchero. Wagner was also effective in finding his teammates for open looks, leading the way with six assists. Wagner, Banchero and Desmond Bane combined for 71 of the team's 125 points Wednesday, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see this trio pave the way for the Magic on the offensive end going forward.

Bane registered 23 points (7-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and four turnovers in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 season-opening win over Miami.
The Scoop: The Magic struggled mightily from beyond the arc last season, which is why they brought in Bane, who is a career 41-percent, 3-point sniper. He looked comfortable working in Orlando's offense Wednesday night, did a nice job spreading the floor, and really took over late when it mattered most to help deliver the win for the Magic. He's all set up for a big year with the Magic.
