The Scoop: Miller scored 18 of his game-high 23 points through the first three quarters of Sunday's game before sitting for the entirety of the fourth due to the Hornets' commanding lead. It was Miller's 11th game connecting on at least four triples and his 14th 20-plus-point performance of the season. In nine games since Jan. 2, he has averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 3.4 threes, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals over 29.4 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: "Sprained ankle. Lots of swelling already. Nothing broken," Udoka relayed to reporters following Sunday's win. Adams could put barely any weight after spraining his left ankle early in the first quarter and had to be helped to the locker room. He'll undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but if he were to miss extended time, then Clint Capela would be in line to step into a larger role off the bench.

 The Scoop: Returning to the second unit after six straight starts, Landale didn't miss a step and put together his best scoring effort since Nov. 24. The 30-year-old center has played at least 20 minutes in all eight January games for Memphis with Zach Edey (ankle) and Brandon Clarke (calf) both in street clothes, a span where Landale's averaging 12.8 points, 8.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.1 combined steals and blocks.

 The Scoop: Thompson did all of his damage within the arc Sunday, scoring 14 of his 20 points in the first half and finishing the game as the Rockets' third-leading scorer behind Jabari Smith (32 points) and Alperen Sengun (21 points). Thompson has scored at least 20 points in eight of his last 11 outings, and over that span he has averaged 20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals over 38.3 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: The third-year guard fell just short of his fourth straight game with 20-plus points, but he still led the Magic in scoring. Black has drained multiple three-pointers in 11 of the last 14 games as part of a breakout campaign, averaging 20.6 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 assists, 2.6 threes and 1.3 steals over that stretch.

 The Scoop: Durant struggled from the field for most of Sunday's game, but he still made his impact felt offensively with a team-high eight assists, his most in a game since Jan. 1 against the Nets (11). Durant connected on two free throws in the final minute of the fourth quarter, and in doing so, he passed Dirk Nowitzki for sixth on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Durant sits at 31,562 points for his storied career in the Association, and next up on the list is Michael Jordan at 32,292 points.

 The Scoop: Vincent got a spot start against Portland on Saturday due to the absence of Luka Doncic (groin), though the former struggled and finished with three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one assist and three turnovers over 23 minutes. Vincent will retreat to the bench for Sunday's game after Doncic was cleared to play.

 The Scoop: Kleber made his first start of the season during the Lakers' 132-116 loss to the Trail Blazers on Saturday, when he logged 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 21 minutes. He'll revert to the bench for Sunday's game due to the return of Deandre Ayton (knee).

 The Scoop: Adams appeared to suffer the injury while attempting to block a Zion Williamson layup attempt. Adams had to be helped back to the locker room, and if he's unable to return, he would finish with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes. Dorian Finney-Smith and Clint Capela are candidates to play more in Adams' absence.

 The Scoop: After posting 20 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Saturday's loss to Portland, James will shed his questionable tag and suit up in the second leg of this back-to-back set. The 41-year-old has appeared in each of the Lakers' last five outings, averaging 25.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.6 steals across 32.8 minutes per game during that span.
