Supplies 18 points from bench
McConnell racked up 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: McConnell turned in 13 points in the third quarter and kept the Pacers in the hunt alongside Obi Toppin's seven points in the stanza. McConnell's results faded after a solid Game 2 performance against the Thunder, but he bounced back in Game 5 by making plays all over the floor, finishing with postseason highs in points and minutes.

Emerges with 11 points in win
Wallace supplied 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and four steals over 17 minutes during Monday's 120-109 win over the Pacers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: Wallace notched his third double-digit scoring performance of the postseason in the decisive win. Wallace carved out a larger role with the Thunder during his second season, but his playoff contributions have been minimal. The Kentucky product managed his best total of the series despite logging a series-low 17 minutes on the court. Wallace also recorded a postseason-high four steals during the victory.

The Scoop: Joseph will become an unrestricted free agent after spending the 2024-25 campaign with Orlando. The veteran guard appeared in 50 regular-season outings (16 starts) with the Magic, finishing with averages of 3.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 12.2 minutes per game.

Team option declined
The Magic declined their $7.5 million team option on Harris' contract for the 2025-26 season Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

The Scoop: Harris will become an unrestricted free agent after spending the past four-plus seasons with Orlando. The 30-year-old swingman saw his playing time dip during the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with averages of 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 three-pointers in 14.8 minutes per game across 48 regular-season appearances (three starts).

Officially ruled out for Game 5
Walker (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Thunder.

The Scoop: Walker will miss his fifth straight game due to a sprained right ankle. The 21-year-old is making progress in his recovery, though head coach Rick Carlisle said Sunday that it's "very unlikely" he'll play during the Finals, according to Dan Devine of Yahoo Sports.

Unlikely to play in NBA Finals
Head coach Rick Carlisle said Sunday that Walker (ankle) is improving and off crutches, though it's "very unlikely" that he'll return during the NBA Finals, Dan Devine of Yahoo Sports reports.

The Scoop: While Walker hasn't officially been ruled out for Monday's Game 5 against the Thunder, he can be considered doubtful at best for the remainder of the series until the Pacers provide another update. The 21-year-old still has a slight limp but is making progress in his recovery. However, his season is expected to be over due to the sprained right ankle he sustained in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks.

Headed to Memphis
The Magic traded Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks and one first-round pick swap to the Grizzlies on Sunday in exchange for Desmond Bane, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The Scoop: Caldwell-Pope signed a two-year, $44.38 million deal with the Magic last offseason, which included a team option for 2026-27, but his lone season in Orlando didn't go as planned. The veteran posted his fewest points per game (8.7) and shot 34.2 percent from deep, his lowest since 2015-16. Given his salary, Caldwell-Pope should see considerable playing time next season, but Memphis will likely stay busy this offseason in an effort to rejuvenate a stagnant franchise.

Signs three-year extension
The Rockets have agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension with Adams, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The Scoop: Adams was expected to be a hot commodity in free agency this summer after having an impressive showing in the NBA playoffs. The Rockets value what the veteran center brings to the table and got an extension done before he could test free agency in July. In seven games during the postseason, Adams averaged 5.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 60 percent from the field.

Non-factor in Game 4 loss
Turner contributed 12 points (3-10 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Friday's 111-104 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

The Scoop: Turner couldn't find any rhythm on the offensive end, missing several key baskets as the Pacers gave up a double-digit lead. In fact, Turner failed to hit a three-pointer for the first time since the opening round against the Bucks. With the series now all square, Turner will need to rediscover his form ahead of what promises to be a series-defining Game 5 in Oklahoma City on Monday.

Back to bench role
Wallace will come off the bench Friday during Game 4, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

The Scoop: Wallace was a starter for the first three games of the NBA Finals. In Game 4, the Thunder will go with more size in the starting lineup, with Isaiah Hartenstein getting the nod. In 16 games in a reserve role during this postseason, Wallace has averaged 5.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 40.7 percent from the floor and 32.6 percent from deep.
