The Scoop: Champagnie led the Wizards with 12 rebounds Sunday and reached double-digit points for the second time in three games, en route to his second double-double of the regular season. Since Dec. 1, Champagnie has averaged 8.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 threes, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals over 22.6 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: Coulibaly finished third on the Wizards in rebounds behind Alex Sarr (nine) and Justin Champagnie (12), and Coulibaly tied a season high with three steals. The third-year pro from France has had an up-and-down 2025-26 campaign, largely in part due to injuries disrupting any momentum from forming. However, Coulibaly has logged at least 14 points in each of his last three games, and over that span he has averaged 16.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 threes, 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks over 26.0 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: Sarr showed his prowess on both sides of the floor Sunday, leading the Wizards in points while setting a career high with six blocked shots. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick has blocked at least three shots in each of his last three outings, and in his five outings since returning from a six-game absence due to a right adductor strain, he has averaged 15.6 points ,7./6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 threes, 3.0 blocks and 0.8 steals over 25.0 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: Alvarado was ejected from Saturday's contest after throwing a punch at Williams following an exchange ignited by a tough screen. Alvarado will be suspended for the next two games, making him eligible to return to the lineup Jan. 2 against the Trail Blazers. Jordan Poole and Jordan Hawkins could see extra minutes with Alvarado sidelined.

 The Scoop: Seven of Clingan's 18 boards came on the offensive glass, and his rebounds were his most since Nov. 19 against the Bulls (21). It was his ninth double-double of the season, three of which have come over his last five outings. Over that five-game span, Clingan has averaged 13.4 points on 71.1 percent shooting along with 12.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks over 31.2 minutes per game.

 The Scoop: Timme has been sidelined with a concussion of late, but he will be available for Sunday's contest. Although he has not appeared in a game for the Lakers since Dec. 5, he could see some run Sunday due to Jaxson Hayes (ankle) being out of the lineup.

 The Scoop: Batum will make his third start of the season and his first since Nov. 6 due to the absence of John Collins (illness). Batum played just 18 minutes in each of his other two starts, but he should see more run Sunday night.

 The Scoop: Williams could miss a second straight game due to a left calf injury. If he is unable to go, Ryan Nembhard figures see an expanded role.

 The Scoop: Davis has already missed one game due to a right adductor injury he sustained on Christmas Day, and he's at risk of missing another contest. If Davis can't play Monday, Daniel Gafford would likely draw another start at center, while Dwight Powell could see some burn off the bench.

 The Scoop: Curry fell one point short of his fifth 40-point game of the campaign despite attempting a season-high 30 shots. All of his points came in regulation. Since returning from a five-game absence Dec. 12, Curry is averaging 31.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals across 34.5 minutes spanning seven appearances.
