Could sit Tuesday
Coach Tyronn Lue stated after Monday's 120-119 loss to the Heat that he's not sure Beal will play in the second half of the team's back-to-back Tuesday against Oklahoma City, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports. Beal tallied 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes.

The Scoop: Lue was also uncertain of Kawhi Leonard's availability for the second leg of the back-to-back, but out of the two, Beal would figure to be the candidate to play considering his light workload Monday night. However, he's already missed two games this season due to back soreness, so LA could elect to play it safe by holding him out. Another update on Beal's status should emerge closer to tipoff.

Status uncertain for Tuesday
The team has yet to decided whether Leonard will play in the second half of a back-to-back Tuesday against the Thunder due to injury management, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports. He collected 27 points (10-21 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks in 37 minutes during Monday's 120-119 loss to the Heat.

The Scoop: Leonard took on a heavy workload Monday night, and with the star forward yet to play both legs of a back-to-back this year, the club will likely evaluate him Tuesday morning before commenting further on his availability. Coach Tyronn Lue also noted in his postgame presser that he was unsure of Bradley Beal's availability, meaning the Clippers could be short handed if a decision is made to sit both players down, likely opening up chances for Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kris Dunn and John Collins.

Delivers another double-double
Westbrook finished with 26 points (10-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's 130-124 loss to the Nuggets.

The Scoop: Westbrook turned back the clock Monday by posting his best all-around showing of the young season. He notched his second straight double-double, this time by grabbing double-digit boards after dishing out 10 assists in his previous appearance Saturday in Milwaukee. Westbrook has also seen his workload increase steadily of late, logging 34 and 37 minutes to begin the month.

Lean production continues
Sheppard had five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists across 17 minutes during Monday's 110-102 victory over the Mavericks.

The Scoop: Sheppard continues to play a limited role off the bench, having played fewer than 20 minutes in three straight games. Despite a strong preseason, it appears as though the coaching staff has little faith in him when it comes to running the offense. Across the first six games of the season, he is averaging 9.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 20.6 minutes per contest.

Vanishing act continues
Thompson closed Monday's 110-102 loss to the Rockets with five points (2-9 FG, 1-8 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block over 18 minutes.

The Scoop: Thompson was a non-factor yet again, scoring in single digits for the fourth time in the past six games. The term 'washed' is thrown around a lot in the NBA, but in this instance, we may have reached that point in Thompson's career. Despite starting every game thus far, he is averaging just 8.1 points and 1.6 three-pointers in 20.2 minutes per contest.

Scores 14 points off the bench
Holland recorded 14 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three assists and two rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench during Monday's 114-106 win over the Grizzlies.

The Scoop: Holland saw some increased opportunity in this one with Tobias Harris (ankle) watching from the sidelines, and he had the hot hand early, leading the Pistons in scoring through the first half of action. This was a solid bounce-back performance for Holland, who was held to just two points on 1-of-5 shooting his last time out, so it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it going Wednesday with a favorable matchup against the Jazz.

Drops 21 points off bench
Reid amassed 21 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 24 minutes during Monday's 125-109 win over the Nets.

The Scoop: Reid turned in another strong night as a shooter and has totaled 39 points over his last two matchups. He's been locked in from downtown over this stretch, shooting 7-for-11 from deep. Reid has posted 16 or more points in four of his last five games.

Low output in first start of season
Champagnie logged four points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over 17 minutes during the Wizards' 119-102 loss to the Knicks on Monday.

The Scoop: Champagnie was inserted into the Wizards' starting lineup for the first time this season due to Khris Middleton (elbow) being sidelined. Champagnie logged a season-high 17 minutes during Monday's loss but wasn't able to convert that additional playing time into much production in the box score, and his minus-24 point differential was second worst on the Wizards behind Kyshawn George (minus-25). Middleton is considered day-to-day with his injury and could be available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, which would revert Champagnie to a reserve role.

Invisible in loss Monday
Hauser closed with four points (1-8 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in 28 minutes during Monday's 105-103 loss to the Jazz.

The Scoop: Hauser offered very little in the loss, despite playing a season-high 28 minutes. As a player whose value, both in fantasy and reality, is built around his ability to hit the three-ball, Hauser has struggled to be a consistent asset thus far. Through eight games, he is averaging just 9.6 points and 3.0 three-pointers in 23.7 minutes per game.

Rare appearance in win
Harkless finished Monday's 105-103 win over the Celtics with three points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 21 minutes.

The Scoop: Harkless played a season-high 21 minutes, sliding into the rotation for just the third time this season. While he did provide some nice energy on the defensive end, there is no indication that Harkless will be moving into a more permanent role anytime soon.
