Waters averaged 2.4 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 7.1 minutes per tilt in 40 regular-season games during the 2025-26 campaign.
The Scoop: Waters didn't play in any of San Antonio's last six postseason games or log more than eight minutes in any of his nine playoff appearances. The 28-year-old swingman logged double-digit minutes in just 10 of his regular-season outings and averaged a career-low mark in minutes. He's slated to be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Dadiet appeared in 29 regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds while shooting 33.3 percent from the field in 4.7 minutes per showing.
The Scoop: While Dadiet appeared in 11 more games than he did as a rookie, he averaged fewer minutes per game and scored in double figures just twice. However, the 20-year-old swingman took a step forward in the G League compared to 2024-25. Over 19 appearances with the Westchester Knicks this season, he averaged 22.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals across 34.6 minutes per contest.

Kornet recorded zero points (0-1 FG) and two rebounds in 10 minutes during Saturday's 94-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Scoop: Kornet saw increased burn in Game 5, though he failed to make much of an impact. The big man appeared in 68 regular-season games (25 starts) during his first season with the Spurs, averaging 6.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.0 minutes per showing. The 30-year-old shot 64.3 percent from the field and has topped the 60.0 percent mark in each of the last four seasons.

Champagnie ended Saturday's 94-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 31 minutes.
The Scoop: Champagnie delivered a bounce-back performance Saturday after scoring just five points on 2-of-9 shooting in Game 4. The 24-year-old forward was a valuable contributor for the Spurs in their run to the Finals, averaging 11.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 39.6 percent from deep across 30.6 minutes per tilt in 23 playoff appearances. Champagnie is fresh off a career-best year, and the Spurs hold a team option on his contract for 2026-27. Across 82 regular-season appearances (68 starts) in 2025-26, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 38.1 percent from downtown in 27.6 minutes per game.

Alvarado provided zero points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one rebound over 11 minutes during Saturday's 94-90 victory over the Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Scoop: Alvarado struggled to find his stroke in the championship-clinching victory while missing all five of his field-goal attempts, but he walked away with a title ring nonetheless. The energetic backup guard operated as a minor piece of the Knicks' second-unit rotation throughout the series, averaging 4.2 points and a quiet 0.2 steals across 12.0 minutes per game in the five matchups against San Antonio. After coming over from the Pelicans at the trade deadline, Alvarado spent the final months of the season in and out of head coach Mike Brown's rotation depending on the health of Jalen Brunson. Under contract for the 2026-27 season on a team-friendly deal, the 28-year-old will head into the summer slated to resume his role as New York's primary spark-plug defender off the bench.

Castle registered six points (1-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Saturday's 94-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Scoop: Castle was nowhere to be seen, particularly on the offensive end, where he scored a career playoff-low six points. It highlighted the fact that San Antonio was running with a highly inexperienced lineup, although one that will certainly be better for the loss. It was an unfortunate end to what was a dynamic postseason for the sophomore, who averaged 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.5 three-pointers through 23 appearances.

Wembanyama finished with 19 points (7-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and five blocks across 38 minutes in the 94-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday.
The Scoop: Wembanyama had a double-double in Game 5, his 12th of the postseason. However, his efforts weren't enough to lead San Antonio to a victory and extend the series. With the Spurs falling short of a championship, the team will look forward to the 2026-27 campaign. There will likely be some changes to the roster, though the focus will be on surrounding Wembanyama with players who complement his style of play. It's scary to think just how good the 22-year-old can be moving ahead, considering he averaged a career-high 25.0 points with 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 3.1 blocks and 1.0 steals over 29.2 minutes in 64 regular-season appearances. Without question, Wembanyama will continue to be in the MVP conversation, assuming he can stay healthy.

Topic (back) underwent surgery Saturday and is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.
The Scoop: With the Thunder's season over, Topic underwent a minimally invasive lumbar microdiscectomy procedure, and the operation shouldn't impact his availability for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. The guard played sparingly during the postseason after appearing in 10 regular-season games for Oklahoma City, averaging 5.2 points, 4.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per contest.

Kornet (illness) is available for Saturday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Knicks, NBA reporter Matthew Tynan reports.
The Scoop: Kornet's status was up in the air due to an illness, but he'll ultimately shed the questionable tag and suit up for Saturday's must-win matchup. The backup big man has had a minimal impact through the first four games of the series, averaging 0.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 7.8 minutes per contest.

Kornet (illness) is questionable for Saturday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Knicks, Raul Dominguez Jr. of the Associated Press reports.
The Scoop: Kornet is under the weather and may be held out of Saturday's do-or-die matchup. The veteran big man's absence wouldn't cause any significant waves in the rotation, though Victor Wembanyama and Carter Bryant could pick up a few extra minutes.
